Equora ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Equora mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").
1. Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile preferences such as sleep goals and wellness targets.
Health and Wellness Data
With your permission, we collect data related to your sleep patterns, activity levels, hydration intake, mood entries, stress indicators, and other wellness metrics you choose to track.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, session duration, sound library preferences, and app performance data.
Device Information
We collect device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and crash reports to improve app stability and performance.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and personalize your wellness experience, including your Wellness Score and sleep insights.
- To generate recommendations for sleep improvement, mindfulness routines, and sound therapy.
- To process subscription payments and manage your account.
- To send you important updates about the Service, such as feature releases and policy changes.
- To improve and optimize the Service through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
- To respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
3. HealthKit and Google Fit Data
If you choose to connect Apple HealthKit or Google Fit, we access specific health data categories (such as sleep analysis, heart rate, and step count) solely to enhance your in-app experience.
We make the following commitments regarding HealthKit and Google Fit data:
- Your health data is never sold to third parties.
- Your health data is never shared with advertisers or ad networks.
- Your health data is never used for marketing purposes.
- Health data is stored securely using end-to-end encryption and is only accessible by you within the app.
- You can disconnect HealthKit or Google Fit at any time from your device settings, and we will cease reading new data immediately.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google), cloud hosting (Vercel, AWS), and analytics platforms that help us operate the Service.
- Legal obligations: When required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for research and product improvement purposes.
Health and wellness data synced from HealthKit or Google Fit is retained only while your account is active and the integration is connected. Disconnecting the integration triggers automatic deletion of synced health data within 14 days.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Equora is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@equora.app.
8. Your Rights
For All Users
- Access and download a copy of your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
GDPR (European Economic Area)
If you are in the EEA, you have additional rights including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to object to processing. Our legal basis for processing is your consent and legitimate interest in providing the Service.
CCPA (California)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
